N°2 THE NOTRE-DAME CATHEDRAL

MAGNIFICENT ! A true masterpiece of Gothic architecture. It is located in the heart of the city island, in the historic heart of the city. It dates from the Middle Ages, its construction lasted 2 centuries between the 13th and 15th century. The cathedral to celebrate these 850 years in 2013! Unfortunately, a major fire occurred in April 2019 causing much damage to the cathedral which remains closed to this day. Five years of work are planned for the restoration of the monument.

N°3 THE LOUVRE MUSEUM

MYTHICAL ! It is one of the largest museums in the world. It is located in the heart of the city, next to the Seine and the famous Rivoli Street. The Louvre is a former royal palace which was transformed during the French Revolution into a museum.
The museum is divided into eight departments: graphic arts, paintings, works of art, sculpture, Islamic art, oriental antiquities, Egyptian antiquities and Greek antiquities.
The Mona Lisa, by Leonardo da Vinci is the main attraction of the museum, it is sometimes difficult to see it on busy days.

N°4 THE ARC OF TRIUMPH

MAJESTIC ! Located at the top of the most beautiful avenue in the world, the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe is one of the most imposing monuments in Paris.
It was built in Napoleon’s time the day after the Battle of Austerlitz, where he told the soldiers that they would only return to their homes under triumphal arches. 30 years were necessary to build this monument, from 1806 to 1836. In the center of the triumphal arch, is the tomb of an unknown soldier, as well as the eternal flame which is revived every evening at 6.30 pm to pay homage to soldiers killed in action. N°5 THE SACRE COEUR BASILICA

HISTORY! Located at the top of the Butte Montmartre, it is the highest point of view in Paris. This location offers a panoramic view of the city, it is clearly one of the most beautiful views of the capital. The Basilica of the Sacred Heart is a religious building whose construction was completed in 1923. It is the second most visited religious monument in Paris after Notre-Dame Cathedral.
